Anyone that has lived in Lagos most likely has a story of how the city has pushed them beyond their testing points once or twice. But somehow, we still love this city that has a way to infuriate and captivate us at the same time.
SustyVibes will be hosting a series of creativity hangouts that explores how we can creatively solve socio-economic problems mainly represented within the 17 Sustainable Development Goals
Our first episode is on the 11th SDG: Sustainable Cities and Communities. On it, we will zero in on Nigeria and the benefits and consequences of our urban cities. We will focus on three issues:
•Housing (overpriced, unavailable, slum dangers),
•Waste Management and
•Flooding management.
We will be hosting a panel discussion on “Building the Ideal City”. Our panelists include;
–Olamide Udoma Ejorh: Urban activist, Researcher and Writer.
–Wunmi Ogunde: CEO Ecoprune Africa Limited
–Dr Basirat Oyalowo: Manager of The Centre For Housing And Sustainable Development, University of Lagos.
–Theo Lawson: Architect, The mind behind Lagos’ Freedom Park.
If like us, Lagos has ticked you off more than once, come out and listen to how we can work towards a livable and Ideal city.
