We believe you must have heard that more than 110,000 people in 24 communities including Makurdi, Benue state have been displaced by a flood. The Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Mr. Boniface Ortese, who announced this said over 2,769 households were also affected. Places affected include Achusa, Idye, Wurukum Market, Genabe, Industrial Layout, Demekpe, Wadata Market, Katungu, behind the Civil Service Commission, Agboughul-Wadata among others in Makurdi, according to this news article posted by The Nation

The real situation is that several people are without shelter, clothing or food and it is hard to keep talking about Sustainability if we are unable to help them in any way.
