sustyvibes opportunitySusty Opportunities

The Global Social Benefit Institute Accelerator program is a 10-month, mentored program for established social entrepreneurs who are looking to scale their businesses. Successful applicants are connected with seasoned, executive mentors who provide Silicon Valley principles and expertise. They will coach, educate, and prepare applicants to better articulate their mission, impact model, and business plans. The program wraps up with Miller Center’s highly-respected Investor Showcase at Santa Clara University, which affords the opportunity to meet mentors in person, and pitch business to an audience of potential investors and supporters.

There is also an Online Program which is a six-month, virtual program for early-stage social entrepreneurs in the validate stage. Entrepreneurs are connected with seasoned, executive mentors who bring Silicon Valley principles and expertise and will help create a business plan, and come up with a strategy to grow their enterprise in a sustainable way.

Applicants should have the following characteristics:

  • Lead an existing for-profit, nonprofit, or hybrid enterprise
  • Are a mid-stage enterprise (3+ years) ready for scale and investment
  • Develop innovative solutions to provide sustainable paths out of poverty

Applications for the next cohort, launching in January 2018, are due October 20, 2017.
